This machine is the last square root electromechanical Friden, produced only from 1966 to 68. It is very similar mechanically to the SRQ, but incorporates several detail refinements. For example, some differences can be seen in the area of the carriage where it interfaces with the square-root mechanism. The die-cast housing is the same as the ill-fated V-line Fridens and completely different from the sheetmetal stampings used for the SRQ.
