Budlong? A basic four-function machine featuring a very simple user interface with a minimum of controls. The ten-key keypad is used for all number entry, and a single unlabeled bar is used for all operations. The intended operation is preselected using a lever at the left of the keyboard. Victor was a major adding machine manufacturer since the 1920’s, but made relatively few four-function machines, and never made calculators that did not print. Some models included back transfer, but it was not until the Model 10-871 (1967) that their calculators had more sophisticated modern features like high-speed shortcut multiplication. The Victor company went through several acquisitions and calculators are still produced with the brand name, although the link to the original firm is tenuous. (Lange, Härtel, Victor Website)
